The Bermuda National Library has selected and implemented The Galecia Group's "BookPoints" summer reading application software for the 2021 summer reading season.  The Bermuda National Library is the public library service for the territory's 63,000 residents, and the summer reading program, "Tails & Tales," will be aimed at the approximately 10,000 youth who live on the islands.

Time for Fall Reading Programs?!

With many libraries across the US either closed or operating with limited capacity, we've had a lot of inquiries about turning BookPoints into a platform for Fall Reading Programs!  So this year, for the first year ever, we'll be providing hosted BookPoints services for libraries year-round!

2020 is the biggest year ever for the BookPoints community!  Dozens of libraries are using BookPoints this summer to safely and cost-effectively deliver summer reading programs to thousands of patrons across the United States.  (And Canada!  A hearty "welcome" to our new libraries up north!  :-)

We made a simple map so you can check out summer reading programs in your area and across the country.  Is your library using BookPoints but isn't on the map?  Let us know!

New "reCAPTCHA" anti-spam feature available

By on

A few libraries so far have reported that spam-bots have been creating accounts on their site and attempting to submit book reviews.  (As you know, the Book Review feature can't be used for spamming, because librarians must approve any post before it goes public.  Nevertheless, the spam-bots keep trying. :-)

The BookPoints app has a "reCAPTCHA" option that we can enable to help prevent spammers from creating an account.  (This is the feature you've probably seen on other websites where you must click the picture of motorcycles or storefronts to confirm your humanity.)
